Lots of oscars come into the shop with twisted mouths and are bought by people who fee sorry for them perhaps because they are in the corner on their own. Buy a fish like this and it will never grow to its full potential. It will be bullied by others and will not be able to feed the same as them. As an adult it will be stunted and will have a twisted mouth steer clear. Deformities in the anal area have dire consequences and leave the fish unable to breed when fully grown again avoid. Try finding a local breeder , as he or she is much more likely to have good quality stock. I would rather get into he car and drive a 100 miles to buy from a breeder if there was one available. If you wish to breed your Oscars later, then buy a group of 4-6, try to get some from different shops in different areas as lots of shops will buy from the same wholesalers.
